Living on the Lake
Our float home is permanently floating on the lake and surrounded by water, docks, and native wildlife. Unlike a traditional home, this environment naturally attracts insects and spiders, especially during the warmer months.
You may occasionally see:

Mosquitoes
Moths
Other seasonal insects that are common around lakes and marinas
This is a normal part of living on the water and is not an indication that the home is unclean.
Pest Control
To help keep the interior comfortable, the home receives regular professional pest control service on a monthly basis. However, because the home is surrounded by open water and wildlife, the exterior of the float home cannot be treated. Insects and spiders are a natural part of the lake environment and can quickly return despite regular maintenance.

You can help minimize insects inside the home by:
Keeping exterior doors closed whenever possible.
Turning off unnecessary outdoor lights at night, as lights attract insects.
